Walton Special Center Renovation and On Wednesday, October 12th Walton Special Center celebrated its Measure “Q” Completion and the Dedication of the new Jean Wilson Early Childhood Center. Superintendent Carl Toliver greeted the over 250 students, family members and friends in attendance. There were several dignitaries in attendance, many who were part of the original group of concerned citizens that create Walton in the 1971. The evening was capped off with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Early Childhood Center. Jean Wilson who helped create the Early Intervention Program in 1969 was honored by the dedication. Donnie Stewart, a Walton Early Intervention Center alumni, along with numerous other Walton past and present students helped Board Member Steve Smith cut the ribbon, concluding an evening celebration at Walton Special Center.
Frog Jump 2011 was a great success! Thanks to everyone who participated and cheered. Congratulations to: Special Education Department for their grandchampion win! Kohl Elementary for Best Frog Spirit win! Walton Preschool for best Frogginess win!
